# M4YA / seating study, revision 02

Local review only. Approved shell preserved. Furniture is proposed; dimensions are planning allowances in metres.

## A / Two glazing-side high tables

12 seats (12 high, 0 low). One 5.80 m high table along the pool glazing and one along the street glazing. Six inward-side stools per table leave a 1.20 m central aisle.

- A has exactly two long parallel high tables: pool side and street side. Seats are on the central-aisle side only; no seats are placed between tables and glazing.
- The two side tables each seat six. Their 0.60 m depth and one-sided use preserve a 1.20 m central route within the 4 m room.
- Both glazing sides retain their existing glass. The 0.20 m table-to-glazing strip is a maintenance gap, not a walkway; glazing operation and cleaning access need a site check.
- High tables are 0.95 m tall with 0.65 m stools. Tops are 0.60 m deep; test the actual brunch plates/trays.
- Two standing positions are provided for order / collection. They share a 1.03 m counter approach; they are not extra seats.
- The counter worktop projects 20 mm beyond its base: staff lane is 1.18 m, customer approach 1.03 m.
- Staff and public share the existing passage. Replenishment and washing use this same connection; there is no direct bar-to-kitchen door.
- Existing glazing is retained. A future street takeaway opening, external queue and photo area are outside this furniture study.
- No seat or outside area is counted in the kitchen, passage, pool deck or streets. Door leaf swings and selected furniture need a site mock-up before procurement.

## B / Small tables / two or three

14 seats (12 high, 2 low). Four separate three-person high tables beside the glazing, plus one two-person low table. No dining table seats more than three.

- Every B dining table seats two or three: four independent three-person high tables plus one two-person low table. Twelve high seats and two low seats total fourteen.
- Each three-person table provides 600 mm width per place. Tables remain separate; no combining into six-person islands is assumed.
- B includes 1.00 m clear crossings between the high-table groups and at the counter end, measured after occupied footprints.

## C / Previous 16-seat study

16 seats (12 high, 4 low). Previous arrangement retained for reference: two six-seat islands and a four-person low table. This option has not been revised.

- Each high-stool allowance is 0.60 × 0.60 m. Allowances show seated use, not extra pull-out.
- The 0.70 m deep islands need a real brunch tray / plate mock-up.
- Low table has 550 mm per place along each side. Bench-only arrangement keeps the opposite side flexible; accessible seating still needs a separate detailed review.

## Preserved geometry and outstanding checks

Main room: 10.8 × 4 m clear. Kitchen: 4.7 × 2.4 m clear. Toilet: 2.4 × 1.8 m on drawing; entrance from passage on bottom wall. Kitchen entry remains from passage, no direct café opening. Ceiling, wall and column sizes and opening widths retain original unverified status. Source total 60 m² conflicts with labelled room subtotal 58.8 m² before passage/storage; no geometry was shrunk to match the total.

Before procurement, check door operations, actual stool pull-out, accessible seating and routes, equipment/utility connections and selected furniture at full scale. No construction or code compliance approval is implied. Façade, finishes, exterior queue/photo features and investor financial model follow the furniture review.

## Editing

Edit `dist/layout/seating.js` to change the furniture parameters, then run `node build-layout.mjs` and `node verify-layout.mjs`. Base shell files remain unchanged. `layout-configurations.json` documents the shell and exact coordinates of proposed furniture, occupied footprints and routes. GLB is metre based, Y up, +X toward kitchen, +Z toward small street. Hide CEILING in Blender; envelope/route metadata is in glTF extras and is excluded from physical meshes.
