# Bun Social / botanical and lighting revision 08

DESIGN INTENT — LOCAL REVIEW ONLY

A1: a honey-timber entrance grove with pleated fan leaves, split-leaf accents and fern underplanting. A2: a smoked-timber grove with sculptural fans and velvet shield leaves. Both add contoured timber photo screens, edge-only timber canopy slats and layered fern/vine pockets. Large specimen foliage and the overhead canopy are decorative; living plants remain in removable, contained daylight pockets. Nursery palette, UV stability, fire performance, attachment and maintenance require supplier coordination. Keep watering away from food and electrical equipment.

LIGHTING PERFORMANCE TARGET

Six independent zones: pendant ambience; timber canopy; plant/photo accents; table/counter joinery; pastry/service task lighting; takeaway portal. Concealed aluminium LED profiles with opal diffusers, accessible drivers, warm white 2700K decorative and 3000K service light, CRI ≥90. Target smooth 0.1–100% control through compatible 24V constant-voltage LED tape, DALI-2 drivers and a scene controller. Final driver rating, voltage drop, thermal provision, wiring, local availability and the exact tape/driver/controller combination need supplier/electrical design. No hardware has been procured or tested. The browser is a relative-output visualisation, not a lux calculation or a verified hardware dimming curve.

Supplier demonstration: low-end start and fade, no visible stepping or flash on scene recall, low-load stability, colour consistency, visible flicker and phone-camera banding checks. Demonstrate the actual combination before ordering. Maintain separately controlled task light when ambience is dimmed; confirm worktop illumination by calculation and on-site measurement.

SCENE LEVELS / PERCENT RELATIVE OUTPUT

Day: ambient 40, canopy 25, botanical 35, joinery 20, task 85, façade 20.
Golden hour: ambient 55, canopy 65, botanical 70, joinery 45, task 90, façade 65.
Evening: ambient 30, canopy 55, botanical 70, joinery 35, task 85, façade 65.

APPROVED PLAN

Main clear room 10.8 × 4m. Two 5.80 × 0.60m tables; twelve indoor seats. Counter footprint, openings, structural piers and kitchen/passage/toilet connections retained. The central 1.20m occupied-seat aisle and 1.03m service approach stay clear. Inherited dimensions, HVAC access and installation details need a measured survey. The illustrated outdoor three-perch / two-perch alternatives remain conditional on ~2m usable shared-passage depth and permitted use; neither adds confirmed capacity.

ALLOWANCES / IDR MILLIONS / NO QUOTATIONS

A1: base 496 + 15% contingency 74.4 = 570.4. A2: base 521 + 15% contingency 78.15 = 599.15. Both exceed the 500 target and remain below the 600 ceiling; A2 has only 0.85 headroom. Replace overlapping scope: each version adds a net 6 for botanical/timber work and 14 for lighting/controls versus revision 06. A2 also reallocates 8 out of the façade allowance by replacing custom bronze crown ribs with smoked-timber ribs, retaining fine bronze accents. These are planning allowances and assumed savings, not supplier prices. Outdoor furniture/shade is already included, not added twice. Rent ~40/month, deposits and working capital remain separate.

FILES / PRESERVATION

Nine coordinated Blender Cycles views per version come from the corresponding editable metre-scale model, including the new evening interior and botanical detail. GLBs store six named lighting zones at a 100% reference output; browser presets apply relative levels. Editable Blender scenes retain authored lighting. Earlier revision 06 is preserved at reviews/design-06/design and reviews/design-06/pipeline; B–D protected assets remain unchanged. No publication.

## Revision 08 / ceiling garden

Both versions now add two suspended planted timber islands across the ceiling, with layered vine blankets, fern cascades and broad leaves. A1 uses denser honey-timber rafters; A2 uses fewer smoked-timber ribs and broad shield leaves. Upper halo light belongs to the canopy zone; underside leaf grazing belongs to the botanical zone. The six-zone controls and relative-output/hardware limitations remain the same.

The minimum overhead foliage target is approximately 2.40m. Keep the two modelled AC/service rectangles open: X2.55–3.85/Z1.10–2.90 and X7.05–8.35/Z1.10–2.90, in metre model coordinates. These are planning reservations around indicative equipment, not verified manufacturer airflow or access clearances. Confirm ceiling height, AC positions, airflow, support structure, fire performance, driver capacity and maintenance access. Use removable decorative overhead planting with no irrigation above dining. All twelve seats and floor circulation remain fixed.

Revision 08 cost targets including 15% contingency: A1 Rp570.4m; A2 Rp599.15m. The ceiling package adds a provisional Rp6m/Rp4m before contingency versus revision 07; A2 has only Rp0.85m headroom below Rp600m, so quotations must trigger scope adjustment if higher. No quotations received. Rent, deposits and working capital remain separate.

Nine Cycles views per version now include ceiling day and evening angles. The metre-scale GLB and editable Blender file use the same ceiling geometry, with a separate Ceiling garden visibility control. Revision 07 is preserved in reviews/design-07/design and reviews/design-07/pipeline. All work remains local.
